Aidan Spinola

Coach

aidan.spinola@gmail.com

This is Coach Aidan's 2nd season coaching for Marlins. He started swimming at the age of 14 with FAST and Franklin Regional High School where he was a 2 time WPIAL qualifier. He then went to swim distance at the University of Mount Union where he was a four time letter winner. Coach Aidan's philosophy is to help get kids enjoy the sport of swimming, while teaching them lessons then can use in all areas of their life. As someone who started the sport rather late, he hopes to inspire others who may also have a late start or are new to the sport to work hard and live meaningful lives during and after their swimming career.

Mike Holmes

Coach

mikeholmes973@gmail.com

Coach Mike grew up in Monroeville swimming for the Monroeville Marlins, Haymaker Hammerheads, and Gateway Gators. He graduated from Gateway Senior High School in 2018 as a three-year WPIAL qualifier and continued his education at the University of Mount Union in Ohio where he swam for another two years before a shoulder injury took him out of the sport he loves. After he stopped swimming, he began coaching - first for the Garden City Dolphins and, after graduting, for the Stafford Aqua Club in Virginia and then he returned to coaching the Marlins. In his free time, Coach Mike enjoys playing with his cat, reading a good book, playing video games, and spending time with his family and his fiancée.
